Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Trainer - Assessor for it's Power Soluton's business

Job Objective
  • To undertake ongoing training and assessments of Wood operational staff throughout the UK
  • Establish and define the structure of the learning context
  • Guide the learner
  • Provide a philosophical overview of training content, process and context
  • Use a variety of training strategies/learning experiences
  • Facilitate group process
  • Serve as content resource person
  • Observe and track learning progress
  • Incorporate and integrate the talents and resources of all the individuals in the group
  • Elicit feedback and modulate training based on feedback and learning gained in training process
  • Ongoing Competency Assessments (OCA's)

Key Accountabilities and Responsiblities
  • Delegate focused - develop and maintain sincere and open relationships with delegates current and potential; constantly striving to exceed expectations and add value. Able to develop and maintain strong delegate relationships, including ability to influence
  • Ability to effectively manage resources (personnel, equipment, materials etc)
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentational communication skills
  • Strong influencer, negotiator and mediator
  • Flexible to respond and adapt to changing internal and external context
  • Decisive, with ability to make decisions and follow through, ensuring learnings are captured
  • Strong team builder capable of identifying and adopting best practices, engendering a spirit of cooperation and energising people towards optimum performance enabling cross functional best practice

Skills / Qualifications



Assessors Qualification - TAQA / CAVA Level 3 or above

Learning and Development Qualification Level 3 or above


EUSR SHEA Power Acredieted Trainer

Accredited First Aid Trainer

NPORS Certified Trainer
