Hours Flexible Simply Education are proud to be working in partnership with primary schools in Chester who are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in small groups, or in 1:1 roles. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have a calm and nurturing approach, as well as the ability to build rapport with not only the school but pupils. You will be working with young people with a variety of needs, where each day is different, so you will need to be adaptive. No experience will be needed for these roles, if you have a passion for education and making a difference, we can provide free training courses on ADHD, Autism, De-escalation, and working with pupils with SEND/SEMH. We will also consider transferrable roles, such as sports/dance coaches, support workers, and healthcare workers who are looking to become an SEN Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will: - 10 year checkable work/education history - Our compliance department consistently maintains the highest standards of vetting to ensure we continually maintain our REC Audited Education Status. All candidates who register with Simply Education will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks. - Proof of Right to Work in the UK - Be knowledgeable of communication, interaction, and sensory needs. - Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with young people - Can communicate effectively with young people - Change activities to meet the needs of the students you are working with - Able to read body language and moods - Able to promote and encourage independence at all times. - Think on your feet - Contribute to child development plans - Take part in extracurricular activities - Have a positive approach to learning - Ability to promote the development of positive social behaviours and self-regulation skills What we are looking for: - Real passion for education and learning. - Have the ability to develop good relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues - Adaptable and reliable. - Be able to use your own initiative to work as part of a team - Have experience of the UK curriculum; minimum 6 months.
