I am currently recruiting for a progressive Management Accountant role that will suit someone who is currently doing an assistant management accountant role or assistant accountant role and looking for the next step in their career. This role is working for an employee centric organisation within the Retail sector.

Key responsibilities will include: Preparing the management accounts each month in a timely manner, including inputting all figures into the management accounts file and reviewing all invoices posted by the AP/AR assistant.

Presenting monthly P&L results to Finance Director in monthly P&L review meeting, including explaining variances to forecast and LY. Liaising with different teams across the business, including marketing, wholesale and warehouse to collate explanations.

Managing the balance sheet control accounts, including prepayments, accruals and giftcards.

Maintaining the Capex Register ensuring that all tangible and intangible assets are capitalised and depreciated appropriately

Posting all sales and returns from out web platform into the accounting system, ensuing this reconciles.

Weekly review of Aged Debtors, reviewing and resolving any outstanding and aged balances with wholesale customers.

Assisting with preparing the VAT returns for UK, EU and US.

Daily sales analysis on performance against forecast and previous years.

Supporting Senior Commercial Finance Manager with monthly Management accounts pack for Senior Management team analysing various elements of the P&L and Balance Sheet.

Supporting the Financial Controller and Senior Commercial Finance Manager with other financial tasks and ad hoc reports as required.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 2+ years as an established Management Accountant ACCA, CIMA or ACA Part Qualified, study support is available with the role Willingness to learn with a "can-do" attitude Understanding of debits and credits Accurate, logical, and concise approach to their work The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change Proficient user of Excel (vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc) Excellent organisation, writing & communication skills Manages own time and prioritises workload effectively The spirit to work well in a team and thrive under pressure
